CRT1
CRT1 is our entry point into the world of experimental recording. It captures the vibration hidden inside solid objects and liquids, revealing sound where microphones normally fail.
A piezo contact mic picks up vibration travelling inside materials instead of sound moving through air — press it against fences, radiators, strings, machines or ice and record what is happening inside the object. CRT1 is waterproof, weighs only 13 grams, and plugs straight into any recorder or audio interface with a 6.3 mm jack, making it an ideal first microphone for experimental field recording.
