Its sinkable, water-resistant body and the velcro mounting makes it ideal for experimental recording, object resonance, and transforming everyday materials into instruments. A refined version of the CRT1.
Sink it in creeks, aquariums and rain barrels as a compact alternative to a hydrophone, or strap it to pipes, trees, machines and instruments with the velcro strap and textured mounting base. The copper shielding and internal capacitor tame harsh upper frequencies for a smoother, more musical tone — a rugged contact microphone for field recording on land and underwater.
